Questions people ask
What counts as a saved area?
Any shape you keep in a project: a radius, a polygon or a travel-time area. Drawing and analysing a shape without saving it does not count against the limit.
Why is travel time not on the free plan?
Travel-time areas are computed on the road and transit network for each request and are the most expensive thing the product does. Radius and polygon areas give the same demographics for the shape you draw.
What is the assistant?
A conversational way to ask about your projects and the places around them. It can only reach the data your account can already see, and it has no access to the database itself. Deep analysis mode runs a larger model for longer, more careful answers.
Where does the data come from?
Public sources: the US Census Bureau, LandScan USA, Overture Maps, Foursquare OS Places and OpenStreetMap. The data and methodology page explains how each is used and how the results are checked.
