Questions people ask
What counts as a saved area?
A saved area is a geographic shape stored in a project. Drawing and analyzing an area without saving it does not use the Free plan allowance. Free includes up to four saved areas. Pro and Team allow unlimited manually drawn saved areas.
What is the difference between saved areas and uploaded areas?
Pro and Team allow up to 1,000 areas to be imported each day from supported spreadsheets and geographic files. After import, these areas remain in your projects until you remove them. There is no limit on manually drawn saved areas.
Why does Team start at five seats?
Team starts at five seats and includes shared projects. Pro provides a single seat without a minimum purchase. Choose Team when you need colleagues to work together in the same organization. Each Team seat adds to the assistant allowance.
How does billing work?
Payments are processed by Stripe and renew monthly or annually until canceled. Team starts at five seats. If membership exceeds the seats you have purchased, additional seats are added automatically. Seat, plan and billing interval changes are prorated. Applicable sales tax appears at checkout. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
Why is travel time not on the free plan?
Travel areas require additional routing calculations for each request and are included in paid plans. The Free plan lets you analyze radius and custom polygon areas using its included demographic measures.
What is the assistant?
The assistant lets you ask questions about locations and saved projects using the data available to your account. Team adds deep analysis mode for questions that need more detailed processing.
Where does the data come from?
MarketGround builds its figures from the US Census Bureau, LandScan USA, Overture Maps and OpenStreetMap, assembled into one national dataset.
